Things you have to know and understand in doing property investment are about area measurement and the equivalence. For in Bali the land measurements commonly used are: ARE and HECTARE. And it is different with other countries. Below are the list and the equivalence with other measurement system.

1 sq ARE = 100 sq meters

1 sq HECTARE = 10.000 sq meters

1 sq HECTARE = 100 ARE

1 sq feet = 0.092903 sq meters

1 sq yards = 0.836127 sq meters

1 acre = 4,046.86 sq meters

1 acre = 0.404686 HECTARE

Tips: If you would like to do property investment in Bali, sometimes there is location in Bali if you would like to buy land in big area, and if the location exactly at the edge of main road, the landlord could be negotiated with different price. Means like this, some part of the land at front (near to main road) will be noticed in different price with other part of the land that is not exactly next to the main road. So it is possible to get cheaper price for part of the land which position at the back than at the front. This is possible when you buy big area in count HECTARES for your property investment.
